Zagime Management Authority Limited’s main goal is to establish new business opportunities and resources for the benefit of Zagime Anishinabek.
 

Since ZMAL’s inception, we have achieved many important milestones, and our operations have proven extremely successful. We expect to add new ventures every year, and invite you to browse our website to learn more about who we are. We are proud to show other communities what we are working towards.
 

Zagime Management Authority Ltd. (ZMAL) was established as a limited partnership on July 16, 2016 as a parent company to oversee a number of subsidiary companies. The business operations of the Limited Partnership are conducted through the Corporation as a general partner. The Limited Partnership and the Corporation are managed and operated separate and apart from the political operations of Zagime Anishinabek.

Zagime Management Authority Ltd is committed to growing and developing communities by establishing and managing new businesses as well as offering retail, commercial and light-industrial leasing opportunities on Zagime Anishinabek First Nation land.

Mission

ZMAL along with Zagime Anishinabek are committed to the creation and establishment of viable and sustainable economic and business entities which will further enhance the wealth and capacity building Zagime Anishinabek and its community

Our main objectives are:

  • To promote, encourage, and enhance economic investment and development of Zagime Anishinabek.
     

  • To plan, finance, initiate, develop, construct, own, buy, sell, hold, manage, administer, operate, and promote economic ventures on behalf of the Nation.
     

  • To create, coordinate, cooperate, and administer incentive programs for investments and job creation.
     

  • To provide employment and training for members of the Nation.
     

  • To promote the art and culture of the Nation and generally to improve the lives of the members of Zagime Anishinabek. 
     

  • To promote the economic and social welfare of the Nation by supporting recognized benevolent and charitable enterprises, federations, agencies and societies engaged in assisting the development, both economic and social, of the members of the Nation.
